Emu & Frog | 3:58 PM |

This was the first thing we learned in Creative Media; how to create a cross between 2 images in photoshop using several techniques such as masking. We started with two different images, one of a frog (see right) and the other of an emu (see below) which we opened up in photoshop. Once we had opened up both images in photoshop, the first step was to rotate one of the images so both creatures face the same way, we norm
ally turn the emu around, but it can be done both ways. To rotate the image, you click on 'image', go to 'image rotation' and click on 'flip canvas horizontal'. Once you have completed this - if you have flipped the emu - it should look like this.
The next thing you do is use the 'rectangular marquee tool' to select the head of the emu, and then switching to the 'select' tool, drag the square to the frog, and it should look like this: At this point in time the emu can be closed, without the changes being saved. Now, you select 'Opacity' and turn it down to about 50%, so you can see both the frog and the emu.Press apple-T and re-size the image so the beak and eyes line up with that of the frog.
